What to expect

21 December is World Meditation Day, declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2024. On that day, millions of people around the world meditate together at the same time, creating a global wave of stillness. At MERU, we are marking it on 19 December with an open afternoon for everyone in the region.

During this afternoon you will sit together in meditation, learn what Transcendental Meditation is and how it works, and have the chance to ask questions directly to experienced TM teachers. Most people leave feeling more rested and clear than when they arrived. Some decide to learn TM afterwards. Others simply take that feeling home.

No experience with meditation is needed.

What past participants say

Fariza, participant of the Marma course's headshot

MERU is a very special place. The atmosphere is very silent and lively, and you feel it right from the beginning when you arrive. The community nourishes the atmosphere through deep meditation, and you just receive it when you come here.

I love coming to MERU to enjoy the group meditation. Whenever I’m here, I have really deep meditations and feel deeply at rest.

There is such a deep silence here that you feel truly nourished and rested, in a way that goes far beyond ordinary sleep. I felt a deeper level of rest and healing than I’ve experienced anywhere else.

MERU is a really special place to do a course. It has a unique, quiet, settled atmosphere, and the group meditation program together is so powerful here. I’m definitely going home very rested. It feels like you’ve known people a lifetime, even if you just met them last week.

Our stay made us aware again of the incredible work and precious attention that continues to flow in each step of the process and in every small detail of the creation. We enjoyed our stay so much. RF said he rested better than in our Vastu home.
