Terms and conditions for online courses

C. Eligibility for event

If I am a Meditator, Sidha, or TM Teacher, I understand that eligibility for this event will be confirmed with the TM organization of my country and/or with Maharishi Vedic University Courses and Consultations B.V., Station 24, 6063 NP Vlodrop, the Netherlands.

If my eligibility cannot be confirmed for the event, I understand that my access may be revoked. and any fee I have paid will be refunded.

D. Photo, Video, Audio, Testimonial Release

I grant MERU and its affiliated organizations permission to record, use, and share photos, videos, audio recordings, and written or spoken testimonials of me for the purpose of marketing and promoting Maharishi Technologies of Consciousness programs and events.

These materials may be used in print publications, digital media, websites, social media, and other distribution channels.

I understand that my consent is voluntary and that I may withdraw it at any time by contacting MERU at events@meru.international.

If I withdraw my consent, MERU will stop using my personal data for future materials; however, materials already published or distributed before my withdrawal may continue to be used for practical reasons.

I waive any claim to compensation or ownership rights arising from the authorized use of these materials and any right to inspect or approve the finished materials, including written, audio, or video content in which my likeness or testimonial appears. I understand that MERU and its affiliated organizations may edit, adapt, or combine these materials as needed for authorized purposes. I release and hold harmless MERU and its affiliated organizations from all claims, demands, or causes of action arising from or related to this authorization and the use of my image, voice, or testimonial.

E. Conduct during event

I understand that by participating in this event, I am agreeing to engage with the faculty, course leaders, and other participants in a respectful manner.

I understand that disruptive behaviour after a warning from faculty, course leaders, or other members of MERU can result in my course access being revoked without a refund.

F. Refund policy, Digital Content & Withdrawal Rights

1. Your right of withdrawal (14 days)
You may withdraw from your booking within 14 days without giving a reason. The period expires 14 days after the day you complete your booking.
To exercise this right, inform us by an unequivocal statement sent to us by email.
If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision, using the same means of payment you used. We charge you nothing for this: the transaction fee in section 4 does not apply to withdrawal.

2. Courses beginning during the withdrawal period
If your course starts less than 14 days after you book or if you receive access to the course content directly after your booking, we ask you at checkout to expressly request that we begin providing it during your withdrawal period. If you make that request and then withdraw, you owe an amount in proportion to what we have provided up to the moment you inform us, compared with the course as a whole. If the course is fully delivered within the withdrawal period and you confirmed at checkout that you lose your right of withdrawal once we have fully performed, that right no longer applies.

3. Cancellation after the withdrawal period
Once your 14-day withdrawal period has expired you have no statutory right to a refund. We nevertheless offer refunds on the following terms. Cancellations take effect on the date we receive them at events@meru.international.
— If you cancel before the course has started: full refund, minus the transaction fee in section 4.
— If you cancel after the course has started: a refund for the sessions not yet delivered, minus the transaction fee in section 4. We calculate this by reference to the number of scheduled sessions remaining on the date we receive your cancellation.

4. Transaction fee
Our payment provider charges us a fee to process your payment and does not return that fee when we issue a refund. We therefore deduct a transaction fee of 5% from any refund under section 3. This fee never applies to a withdrawal under section 1, or to a cancellation by us under section 5.

5. Cancellation by us
If we cancel or reschedule a course, you may choose an alternative date or a full refund of everything you paid, including the transaction fee.

6. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 14 days of us receiving your withdrawal or cancellation.

G. General provisions

If any provision or part of any provision of this Agreement is void or unenforceable, the remainder of this Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. If a provision turns out to be void or unenforceable, MERU shall have the right to replace such provision by a provision in the spirit of this agreement. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of The Netherlands. If a judgment by a Dutch court would not be fully enforceable in the country where an infraction of the Agreement has taken place, MERU may at its discretion choose to bring in a case for the relevant court in the country where the Agreement is considered to have been violated.
