Working at MERU

MERU is looking for motivated people to join our team.

MERU stands for Maharishi European Research University, and it is here where Maharishi lived for the last 18 years of his life. It is located in the heart of the Meinweg National park, surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes.

Today, MERU is the international headquarters of the Transcendental Meditation organisation and an ideal place to grow and enjoy deeper experiences of consciousness.

Our Community welcomes anyone practising Transcendental Meditation that would like to work at and also enjoy the benefits of this holistic place.

Dive deep into
the knowledge

We organise various programmes for our staff to deepen their knowledge and integrate the experience of meditation into their daily life.

Group
meditations

We have group meditations at least once a week and offer communal access to flying halls as well as premises where you can practice Maharishi Yoga Asanas.

Accommodation
and food

MERU offers accommodation that includes your own room in a shared house, freshly prepared organic vegetarian meals, and access to a variety of food products.

Benefits

A volunteer can choose between receiving a monthly stipend of 230 euro or 270 euro credits (+50 euro cash).

For full time positions, the benefits differ from position to position (see the job descriptions below).

What we offer

Besides all the benefits mentioned above, MERU also offers Advanced Techniques courses and checkings of the TM-Sidhi program every 2–3 months. Checking of the Advanced Techniques and TM are also available.

As a member of our staff, you can join our celebrations in Maharishi’s House and get a 50 % discount on online courses offered by MERU.

It is a fantastic and unique place where you can spend your time turning inwards and discovering more about your inner-self.

Volunteers at MERU work 6 days a week, 4-6 hours per day with an hour lunch break. We appreciate the flexibility and give the opportunity to volunteers to try out different areas and find which is the best fit for them.

If you feel inspired after reading this and think that you would be glad to come and contribute to the MERU community, please feel free to reach out to us by filling out the form below.
